Who Is Your Hero?

A hero can be anyone who has made a difference in your life — a parent, teacher, veteran, first responder, mentor, friend, neighbor, or someone whose impact you never forgot. Each fall, Goshen Rotary’s Flags for Heroes transforms Charles J. Everett Memorial Park into a field of American flags, each one placed in honor or memory of someone who matters.

Honor A Hero

Honor or remember someone who has made a difference in your life by sponsoring a flag in their name. Each $50 sponsorship includes an American flag and a personalized medallion displayed in the field.
 

Share Their Story

New this year: Sponsors are invited to share the story behind their hero — who they are, what they mean to you, and why you chose to honor them. Sharing a Hero Story is completely optional.
 

Visit the Tribute Display

More than 200 American flags will transform Charles J. Everett Memorial into a field of honor this fall. Visit the display and join us at 11:00 A.M. on October 25 as our community comes together to celebrate its heroes.
 

Ceremony attendance is open to everyone. No RSVP is required.

 

Every Flag Has a Story

New this year, many Flags for Heroes medallions will include a QR code that allows visitors to discover the person behind the name. Scan the code while walking through the field to read a Hero Story shared in the sponsor’s own words — and learn why that person is being honored.

Sharing a Hero Story is completely optional, so not every medallion will include a QR code. For those who choose to share, the field becomes more than a display of names. It becomes a collection of lives, memories, and stories.
