raeside - Museum Village
About 60 campers from Braeside Camp made candles, tasted churned butter, printed posters, fed chickens and goats and learned much about life in the 19th century at Museum Village this week. There was also a lot of interest in learning what school was like in a one-room school house 200 years ago.
All of this was made possible with the support of the Rotary Clubs of Goshen, Middletown, Newburgh and Wallkill East and the considerable discounts from Mid-City transit and Museum Village.
This is the first of two scheduled excursions to Museum Village by campers in the two-week sessions. The next is planned for August 3.
Most of these campers would not normally have had this kind of opportunity without our clubs' support.
